EXORCIST'S CODE OF ETHICS
Héctor Satri. Trinitas Spiritual Help

e1

The following text focuses on the work of the biblically oriented exorcist. It serves only as information and guidance, and its purpose is to help harmonize the relationship between the exorcist and the patient.

1. The foundations of the exorcist's work

• An exorcist receives the spiritual capacity and energy necessary to perform an exorcism on two emotional foundations:

- Faith.

- The desire to help others (charity).

No one can feign these principles without losing the genuine connection with God.

Without this connection, the exorcist will be defenseless against the action of negative spiritual beings — an action capable of overpowering any human being who acts on their mere mental resources.

The cooling of faith and charity is the main reason why Heaven withdraws the exorcist's real capacity to exorcise — usually a gradual process, to allow room for correction — regardless of any other positive factors, such as years of good practice, institutions, degrees, and studies.

• It is essential to give patients as much independence as possible by offering them all the information they need to protect themselves from attacks by negative spiritual beings as soon as possible and unaided.

• To maximize such independence, prioritizing quality over quantity in patient care is also very important. While the initial care may require considerable time and effort, it will also mean that the person will need less time to learn to protect themselves.

2. On free will and the patient's belief system

• Any ideological differences between the patient and the exorcist are of secondary importance because when an individual requests a deliverance procedure and the exorcist manages to carry it through to the end, it means their souls must cooperate deeply and that God is conducting the process. In accordance with the principle of respecting the patient's free will, the only requirement for providing assistance is the patient's desire for it. This applies regardless of religious, philosophical, or ethical beliefs; sexual orientation; race; nationality; or financial circumstances.

• For patients who are not legally responsible for their own actions, such as children or individuals with mental disabilities, their parents or legal guardians must decide whether to proceed with any procedure.

3. The responsibility of exorcist and patient for the success of the treatment

The exorcist's role is to free the patient from negative spiritual influences and guide them to avoid future attacks.

After liberation, patients are responsible for avoiding new spiritual attacks by following the exorcist's guidance.

Thus, the exorcist and the patient must share responsibility for the results of the spiritual liberation and self-protection process equally.

4. About the guidance the exorcist offers

If the exorcist identifies any behavior in the patient that hinders the liberation and recovery process, the exorcist is responsible for pointing it out at least once. After that, the patient is responsible for the consequences of not following or altering the guidance.

The exorcist is obligated and has the right to provide guidance based on their belief system. At this point, it is important to note the following:

• The patient may have different beliefs than the exorcist and may need time to process the new information or test whether the exorcist's recommendations work (also remembering that, like any other human being, the exorcist is not infallible).

• Even if the patient does not follow the exorcist's guidance, follows it only partially, or distorts it, the principle of preserving personal freedom requires the exorcist to carefully observe the person's character and not force the guidance if doing so would prematurely break down the relationship.

• Some people learn more from their own experience than from the exhortations of others. In some cases, a breakdown in communication between the exorcist and the patient may lead to situations of the utmost gravity for the patient. Thus, if an exorcist must interact with a resistant patient, we propose that the exorcist seek a relationship in which the patient feels free to request a liberation procedure, knowing the exorcist will carry it out without pressure.

• It is possible that the patient does not absorb specific information because God does not allow it at that moment, as their soul needs to undergo certain experiences without that knowledge in order to develop better.

• Ultimately, only God knows the path each soul must follow.

5. Financial support for exorcists

For exorcists belonging to an institution, negotiations between the two parties regulate this issue. However, independent exorcists may consider charging whatever the patient wishes to give (with a minimum amount of 0) or an amount set by the patient, which must be greater than 0.

The reasons for this proposal are as follows:

• Ensure that no one who needs help is denied it for financial reasons.

• To make it easier for exorcists to devote themselves to their task since no individual or institution can survive financially without at least accepting voluntary donations.

The exorcist must provide the highest quality care, even if the patient offers no payment or requires considerable time. Remember that the ability to perform this work, or even to be in contact with a patient, ultimately depends on God's will. In short, it is an experience for two souls — the patient's and the exorcist's — that God allows.

6. Combining exorcism with conventional medical treatment

• If the patient is undergoing any kind of medical treatment, the exorcist should never advise them to abandon it.

• If the exorcist identifies any physical or mental symptoms in the patient that are not caused by spiritual influences and are not being treated by a healthcare professional, the exorcist should recommend that the patient seek appropriate medical care.

• If the exorcism causes the elimination or improvement of symptoms, it will be the doctor's responsibility to monitor the change and decide whether to discharge the patient.

7. Confidentiality

Exorcisms and spiritual assistance require complete confidentiality regarding information provided by patients and institutions.
